Supporting the well-being and expanded role of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians has been identified in the NB College of Pharmacists’ Strategic Plan. Pharmacy professionals have been experiencing burnout and challenges related to workplace wellness which have been made worse because of the pandemic.
One action the College is taking to address this is creating a Pharmacy Workplace Wellness Task Force (Task Force). The Task Force will discuss workplace wellness of pharmacy professionals, what is having an impact on it, and propose actions that could lead to improvements. The Task Force will be made up of practising pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, and members of the public who have experience receiving pharmacy care whether for prescriptions or other services.
If you are interested in contributing to this important work,
the College is eager to hear from you!
Workplace wellness for pharmacy professionals aligns with the College’s mission to protect and promote the health and well-being of patients and will help to support sustainability of the pharmacy profession.
