New Brunswick College of Pharmacists appoints Lindsay Mell, RPh, MBA as new Registrar
Moncton, N.B. – The New Brunswick College of Pharmacists, regulator of the profession of pharmacy in this province, is very pleased to welcome Lindsay Mell as its new Registrar. With deep roots in the Maritimes, Lindsay Mell brings a wealth of professional pharmacy experience combining clinical experience in the community setting with broader public sector administration experience at both the provincial and federal levels. Along with being a Certified Health Executive, she holds a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s University, a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Dalhousie, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St. Francis Xavier University.
Lindsay began her career in community pharmacy with Sobeys Pharmacy Group, providing consulting services and pharmacy relief across various Sobeys and Lawtons locations in Nova Scotia, including within the long-term care sector within the province. Lindsay then worked with the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness as Manager of Business Solutions before moving to New Brunswick to take on a senior role with the Department of Health as the Director of Business Development for the Pharmaceutical Services Branch. Moving from the provincial to federal level, she was most recently the Senior Strategic Pharmacist at Health Canada’s Office of Pharmaceuticals Management Strategy, supporting the National Strategy for Drugs for Rare Diseases.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lindsay as the new Registrar of the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists,” says Bonnie White, College Council President. “Her extensive and diverse experience in both the private and public sectors, coupled with her deep understanding of pharmacy practice and regulation, positions her well to lead our College. We are confident that under her leadership, the College will continue to act in the public’s interest and support the continued focus on patient care needs with the evolving scope of practice of pharmacy professionals within the province.”
Lindsay has governance experience from serving on various boards and up to her appointment as Registrar, was a member of the Council of the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists. She has demonstrated excellence in the practice of pharmacy and has gained invaluable insight into pharmacy legislation and regulatory matters.

I look forward to working closely with College staff, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, health system partners, and the public to uphold the highest standards in pharmacy practice to support the evolving patient care needs of New Brunswickers. Together, we will continue to advance the practice of pharmacy, making a meaningful impact on patient care and driving lasting success for our profession and communities.”
With a strong commitment to community and the profession, Lindsay will bring continued excellence to the College and further its mission to protect and promote the health and well-being of New Brunswickers by regulating pharmacy practice. Lindsay officially takes on the role at the end of September 2024.
